The University of New Mexico Hospital is currently recruiting for full time,  Day shift RN Outpt Charge to join a growing stroke program and active neurosurgery team in the Clinical Neuroscience Center. The Clinical Neuroscience Center at UNM Hospitals is comprised of Neurosurgery and Neurology services with procedures like EMG and Botox injection for medical necessity, Parkinson and deep brain stimulation with dedicated clinics including Muscular Dystrophy, ALS, Huntington, OPMD, and the MIND Imaging Center. Currently, the MIND Imaging Center houses two MRI scanners from which structural (sMRI), functional (fMRI), and chemical (MRS) research of brain structure and activity can be undertaken.

RN Outpt Charge will work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients. Provide clinical leadership for other staff. Supervise patient care delivery on designated shift, and serve as a clinical resource for staff.  Requirements: Nursing program graduate (nationally accredited), NM RN License or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by State of New Mexico, and 2 years RN experience .

The University of New Mexico Hospital is the only Level One Trauma Center in the entire state.  The hospital is also a teaching facility for Nurses, Doctors, Radiology Technologists, Pharmacists and other medical professionals.
