The Registered Nurse opening is in our Respiratory Care Unit (RCU) of the Critical Care Department . The fully monitored RCU Unit provides quality nursing care for adult patients with a primary respiratory diagnosis. Patients admitted to the RCU include but are not limited to: acute bacterial infections, acute viral infections, acute respiratory failure (non-ventilated) asthma, hypovolemia, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism to name a few. Your Position

To fulfill this role as a Registered Nurse, you'll work alongside other highly experienced RCU staff including other RNs, LPNs, CNAs and Unit Assistants to provide clinical monitoring of vital signs, pulse oximetry, physical assessment, multidisciplinary collaboration, education and discharge planning. We'll value your input through our autonomous clinical practice committees and other unit "best practice" efforts.

Like you, we value safety and support. As a newly hired Registered Nurse, you'll be precepted by a high level of competence of unit-experienced staff and surrounded by a mentoring environment combined with an operational "what's best for the patient" attitude. Our Requirements

* Current Colorado Registered Nurse licensure
* Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or within 12 months of employment)
* Completion of basic EKG course
* Minimum : 1 year experience in medical/surgical or acute care at a large community or urban hospital setting
