Overview : Banner Good Samaritan Hospital is a MAGNET recognized facility.

U.S. News & World Report recently named Banner Good Sam to its 2006 America's Best Hospital list. Heart Care and Surgery ranked in the top 20; for the seventh year in a row, Banner Good Sam ranked among the top three percent of hospitals in the nation. Banner Good Sam was also named to Solucient's 100 Top Hospitals for cardiovascular services.

The Surgery Department is located on A2. It is a self-contained area consisting of Pre-op Holding and Operating Rooms. In close proximity are the Emergency Center, SPD, Emergency, X-Ray, Cast Room, Surgical pathology, Blood Bank and P.A.C.U. There are 16 operating suites covering all the surgical specialties with the latest technological advancements... three designated Open Heart rooms, two orthopedic rooms, two neuro-surgical rooms, endourology room, one trauma room, 2 rooms for pediatric surgery (Phoenix Childrens Hospital) and six general surgical suites.

Qualifications :

Requires RN license in AZ or compact state. Current operating room experience required preferably in a facility of similar size and acuity. Cardiovascular experience is a plus.
