RN - TRAUMA REGISTRAR - Dallas

The Trauma RN Registrar is responsible for maintaining the trauma registry in collaboration with the Trauma Program Coordinator (TPC) and Trauma Medical Director (TMD). Performs functions associated with coordinating the trauma registry including data abstraction, reporting and performance improvement.

 

1.  Supervises trauma registry abstractors.

2.  Participates with trauma performance improvement (PI) development/implementation/evaluation.

3.  Participates with research (data abstraction, analysis, reporting) as requested.

4.  Assist with development/implementation/evaluation of policies and procedures related to the trauma registry and maintains policy manual.

5.  Participates on assigned committees (Trauma Conference, Trauma PI, Trauma Rounds, Registry.)

6.  Prepares for and participates in the ACS survey.

7.  Maintains continuing education related to trauma registry and PI yearly.

8.  Maintains the trauma registry data base and oversees processes to abstract the data/information.

9.  Maintains patient confidentiality regarding all data in the trauma registry.

10. Supervises/performs data abstraction and data entry.

 

Requirements:  Current TX license Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's of Science - Nursing plus 5 years experience.
