RN or LVN - Urgent Care/ Occupational Medicine

Pro Med Medical Care Center pioneered as one of the first "Minor Emergency Centers" in the country in 1977 and also became a leader in Occupational Medicine as that need became prevalent in the early 1980's. 

The Nurse plays a leading role in the delivery of a variety of medical services that are provided on a walk-in basis to private individuals and employees of many companies in the Austin area.

 

Job Responsibilities include patient triage and assessment, administering medications and immunizations, assisting the physician with minor procedures, providing patient education, handling patient phone calls and communicating with client companies.

The Nurse, in a leadership role, works with x-ray/lab technicians and medical assistants to deliver prompt quality medical care for injuries and illnesses, as well as general physical exams for employment, school/sports and immigration.

 

Job Requires current license to practice nursing in the state of Texas; recent hospital and/or office/clinical experience; ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and light lifting.
