Provides all aspects of the RN job summary. In addition, provides shift and unit leadership. Coordinates and directs prompt, efficient patient flow. Serves as communication link with unit staff and patient triage/bed control in an effort to provide optimal patient care, patient flow, and patient outcomes. Assists staff and serves as resource regarding clinical standards and procedures. Supervises direct and indirect care processes and provides direct patient care when appropriate. Provides leadership and direction on unit during emergency situations. Links unit staff and customers with Clinical Manager. Participates in education and evaluation processes of staff under the delegation of the Clinical Manager and/ or Director.

Able to perform all RN job duties and technical skills.
Manages human resources to assure quality services and promotes positive employee relations
Directs other licensed and non-licensed personnel in the provision of care to patients as assigned.
Role models for current and new staff.
Acts as an extension of the Clinical Manager by performing selected managerial duties as delegated by the Clinical Manager.
Utilizes leadership tools in communication, including effective oral, written, and listening skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.
Keeps all appropriate parties informed in a timely manner and understands chain of command accountability.
Supports interventions that promote unit cost effectiveness to achieve budget.
Collaborates with educator and manager to assess and hold staff accountable to hospital/ unit competencies.

Graduate of accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Minimum three years clinical experience, with management and/ or staff development experience preferred. Project management experience preferred as well.
Current State of Colorado Registered Nurse License (required)
Basic Life Support certification (required)
Advanced Life Support certification
