RNII-ICU

SCHEDULE:   Part – Time Regular; 24 hours per week; Evening Shift; 3:00pm to 11:30pm; Schedule to include working every other weekend.

 

EDUCATION:  Graduate of a school of professional/accredited nursing program. BSN preferred. 

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:  Current CA RN License or Interim Permit required. (Current RN License must be obtained within 3 months of hire.) CCRN preferred. Current BCLS certification required (AHA-Healthcare Provider or ARC Professional Rescuer). For SNI: Proof of successful completion of a critical care course within six months of hire. ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire. For SNII:  Proof of successful completion of a critical care course. ACLS certification required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a patient care team. Will be expected to float to TCU based on operational needs. For IP/SNI status no experience required. Participation in a scheduled applicable training program required. For SNII status minimum of six months experience in an ICU/CCU Unit within the past two years required or participation in a scheduled applicable training program required. Recent experience with invasive procedures and mechanical ventilation systems currently used in ICU required.



 

DUTIES:  Will practice nursing within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act as long as such practice is under the direct and immediate supervision of a registered nurse who must be present and available in the institution during the time the permittee is rendering services. The Supervising Registered Nurse may delegate to the permittee any function taught in the permittee's basic nursing program
