Registered Nurse (Assisting Director Health Services)

As one of SPIN?s Assisting Director in Health Services your duties may include:

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

?  Assures that all services of the Agency reflect adherence to quality enhancement standards of Commonwealth and Special People In Northeast, Inc.

?  Performs emergency duties as requested in the best interest of SPIN, Inc. and the Health and welfare of its consumers and employees.

?  Maintains an active internal communication flow with management staff to insure comprehensive, coordinated operations and service.

?  Encourages departmental communication that demonstrates a deep understanding of all customers and their needs.

?  Assures the coordination and provision of basis health care services.

?  Assist Health Services staff, Adult Services staff, and management initiate, interpret, and follow the computerized Health Information Recording System for all individuals.

?  Establishes and maintains sound, professional communication flow/relationships between and among SPIN, Inc. service providers, consumers, families, external services providers and interested parties in the area of individual-related health services and needs.

?  Develops and implements quality assurance procedures that build credibility and trust with the customer while insuring quality health care and safety.

?  Provides training to employees and consumers in the area of health care both preventive and maintenance.  Monitors the effectiveness of health related training by department staff insuring that performance criteria meet acceptable standards.

?  Keeps informed of new theories, practices and innovations in the health field that continually improve and update related services to consumers.

?  Participates in those Agency committees whose purpose is to enhance quality of life for consumers and employees.

?  Assumes the responsibilities of the Director in his/her absence.

 

 

Requirements include:

 

* Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License

* Supervisory experience preferred

  * One year nursing experience in MH/MR field preferred.

  * One year medical/surgical experience preferred

* Valid driver?s license, vehicle and willingness to travel the Philadelphia area.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.

* Proficient in MS Office and/or other Windows based programs.

* Ability to work independently as well as be an effective team member

* Hours per week 40+ Monday through Friday
