Registered Nurse - Critical Care

We have exceptional opportunities available for Critical Care Nurses at our 336-bed hospital, part of a large integrated medical center, located in Seattle, WA.

Our 31-bed Critical Care Unit serves a variety of patient populations with medical and surgical conditions that include cardiac, vascular, pulmonary, GI, GU and neurological just to name a few. Here you?ll find our patient ratios are determined by patient acuity, and you may be responsible for the care of one to three patients. At VMMC we strive to provide the finest health care through an interdisciplinary approach we call ?Team Medicine?, which supports a collegial environment where our MDs on staff work in partnership with our nursing staff. A designated Clinical Advisor is on staff at all times. The Critical Care Unit employ?s Intensivists that work with the CCU RNs and other members of the CCU team. The dynamic team has impressive outcomes related to a significant reduction in Ventilator associated pneumonia and catheter related blood stream infections.



You will provide high quality, skilled nursing services to assist patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization. Through collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals, the nurse prepares the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued care.



A current and valid Washington State Registered Nurse License is required for these positions. CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work. CCRN Certification in this specialty area is a plus.
