Registered Nurse II / Oncology 4W

There are two separate inpatient Hematology/Oncology inpatient units. The patient mix on the Hematology/Oncology Units is comprised of approximately 80% oncology patients and 20% hematology patients. Both units treat patients requiring diagnostics work-up, standard and investigational chemotherapy, and the treatment of complications of therapy. The most common hematological disorders treated include Sickle Cell Anemia, Aplastic Anemia, and other blood discrasias.


4 West is a 17 bed-bed unit for children with bone and soft tissue tumors and other solid, central nervous system tumors and step-down hematopoietic stem cell transplant.


Under general supervision, serves as a registered nurse, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs.  Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care.
