Position Description:

Genesis HealthCare is one of the nation's largest providers of long-term care and rehabilitation services. We own and operate over 200 skilled nursing and assisted living centers in 12 eastern US states.

Our Schuylkill Center, Genesis HealthCare, is a skilled nursing center located in Pottsville, PA. Our 190 bed facility is located just minutes from Route 61 near Good Samaritan Hospital

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team every weekend, 7-3. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the incumbent utilizes a general understanding of the principles of nursing and basic physical assessment skills in the development of and implementation of individualized nursing care plans to ensure that the needs of the customers are met. He/she assists in the orientation of and supervision of nursing personnel, attends to the daily operations of the unit on a per shift, unit level, and assumes responsibilities of a leadership role as needed.

All new Genesis nursing employees are provided with a paid extensive orientation consisting of two days in a classroom environment followed by up to two weeks on the floor.

Qualifications:

This position requires a current Registered Nurse license issued in the state where the person will practice, and the candidate must be a graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
Up-to-date physical assessment skills and comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles are also required.
Recent experience in geriatric or rehabilitative nursing and experience in supervisory capacity are preferred.
