Our customers make a significant investment when purchasing services at Atria. The average monthly rate among Atria communities is $2,800. A resident?s total investment while with us is an average of $77,000. Our communities are private pay, which means state assistance and other forms of subsidized payments may not be accepted. Therefore, in order to make our business grow, we must go above and beyond the normal expectations of our customers?and our competitors. Ensuring that we deliver exceptional care services for our residents and families is the job of our Resident Services Director.
When people are looking for assisted living services, they are ultimately looking for the best care. Family members must know that their loved ones will be well cared for above all. The families of Atria residents know this because our Resident Services Directors are good listeners and communicators. This is important and appreciated when family members do not live nearby, or are unable to visit often enough to see firsthand how their loved ones are doing. You will lead a Resident Assistance staff that provides the quality care these families are looking for.
The Resident Services Director?s job includes performing assessments, hiring and scheduling staff, communicating with families, overseeing care and medication programs, and serving as a liaison between residents and the medical community. Your Opportunity
Your goal as a Resident Services Director is to help maintain a successful community. This means effectively managing all areas of the community?s care services relating to employees, residents, families, medical professionals, department heads and your Executive Director.
Having the largest staff in the community means you must be professional, well-respected, a good decision maker and a problem solver. You will be on call 24 hours a day to provide a highly professional level of support to those who need it.
Also, you are rewarded with a quarterly bonus for contributing to the overall success of your community. Your share of a bonus pool will be allocated by your Executive Director. A percentage of the revenue generated by each new permanent resident during his or her first month of residency is added to the bonus pool. Our bonus plan is one way Atria ensures that we retain the best people to lead our employees and serve our residents and families.
A Resident Services Director must:
? be a licensed nurse;
? be able to accurately assess the needs of each new resident;
? schedule and execute ongoing resident assessments;
? provide appropriate and flexible staff scheduling;
? be on call 24 hours a day;
? be a leader who helps motivate everyone to success;
? hire staff members;
? be able to serve as a liaison between residents and the medical community;
? ensure the accuracy of all care documentation, including daily notes, incidents, medication records, etc.;
? conduct Atria?s in-service training program. Providing the Best Assisted Living Care
Atria hires only licensed nurses to serve as Resident Service Directors in our communities. We employ nurses for their skill and medical knowledge. With a high level of professional oversight in our care program, we help ensure the most accurate assessments and care plans for our residents and the best quality of support for everyone.
Our assisted living communities are not nursing facilities, and, in most states, we do not provide any skilled nursing care. We provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and getting from place to place. We also provide assistance with medications and incontinence care. Regulations on the types of services we can provide vary from state to state.
Atria has some of the highest standards in the industry within our care program. These standards exceed state requirements in most states. Also, we employ an independent quality assurance team who reports directly, and only, to our Board of Directors. Each Atria community is thoroughly evaluated twice each year. This is one more way Atria ensures that our residents receive our very best.
