Responsible for performing diagnostic computer tomography examinations not requiring constant supervision of technical details with a comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, technique and positioning, and assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Consistently demonstrates technical proficiency in producing diagnostic scans.
Assists the Radiologist during special procedures e.g. CT guided needle biopsies.
Obtains pertinent patient history for all IV contrast procedures.
Explains the procedures to patients and checks for understanding.
Ensures that the patient's needs for privacy and confidentiality are met, and that the patient is physically covered whenever possible.
Maintains a sterile and safe environment for patients and staff according to company and department policies.
Assists in the development of new procedures and techniques as required.
Performs general office duties in an accurate manner including coordination of the daily CT-schedule.
Orders supplies as needed.
Ensures that the delivery of services reflect efficient and effective use of supplies and appropriate utilization of resources.
Consistently demonstrates knowledge of infection control standards.
Consistently uses and reinforces proper body mechanics and appropriate personal protection equipment.
Self-identifies potentially unsafe processes/situations and takes the initiative to report them with the appropriate forms.
Attends and participates in educational programs and shares knowledge with peers.
Adheres to Universal Precautions at all times.
Adheres to safety policy and procedures at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested by supervisor.

Current CRT and ARRT (CT) Certification.
Over 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.
A high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
One or two years of post-high school education or degree from a two-year college.
Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiological Technology.
Documentation of continuing education.
Must be able to perform within the stated requirements for this position.
