DRAFTER

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Architectural Draftsperson produces Preliminary Room Layouts and Final Installation Drawings which are used for planning and installation of LF equipment within the medical facility.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs hospital site investigations to obtain detailed planning and installation information specific to each installation.
2. Reviews planning and installation concerns with hospital personnel, design professionals and construction trades as required with each installation.
3. Obtains detailed construction schedule information impacting LF equipment installations and coordinates delivery and installation of LF equipment accordingly.
4. Receives detailed Installation and Planning documentation in order to prepare preliminary and/or final installation drawings.
5. Determines reliable delivery and installation dates through direct coordination with site contacts.
6. Verifies all electrical and construction requirements have been met in order that the installation will proceed in a timely manner.



Requirements:

Education required/ preferred: Associate degree in Architectural Drafting with a minimum 2 yrs exp.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

1. Familiarly with accepted construction techniques and general code requirements related to the installation of LF equipment within medical facilities.
2. The ability to recognize conflicts among construction disciplines and to propose solutions both on paper in the built environment.
3. The ability to prioritize efforts and meet specific deadlines while maintaining attention to detail to ensure accuracy of all work performed.
