Our firm has been retained by the highly regarded Brotman Medical Center to identify, qualify and attract a motivated and talented individual to serve as Director of Imaging Services.

The Position

 

The Director of Imaging is responsible for providing leadership to the department and for management of human, material and financial resources. They will direct a busy Imaging department and will be responsible for all staffing, technical and operational areas of a department encompassing all imaging modalities.  The Director will be actively engaged in demonstrating new techniques, equipment and procedures to staff and in implementing and monitoring radiation safety measures to ensure safety of patients and staff as well as compliance with government regulatory requirements.

 

A strong business acumen is necessary for managing a department that has lacked a big-picture strategic leader that has the ability to develop short-term and long-term plans for the department as it pertains to outpatient services, pipelining of new equipment, PACS implementation and other major initiatives.  In addition the Director of Imaging will act as the interface and liaison with other hospital departments as well as the major independent radiologists group associated with the hospital.

 

The Candidate

The selected candidate will be an ?A? player with a high energy level and strong visionary skills. They will be experienced in the Director?s role and be well versed in best practices and process improvement. Our client will also consider a strong Assistant Director or Imaging Manager that has the business acumen to step into the spotlight. They should be a driving force visionary and implementer with the ability to assess department needs, develop efficient operational plans and obtain ?buy-in? from staff, administration and physicians. The ideal candidate background would include a Bachelor?s Degree, but is not mandatory and at least five years of experience in a leadership/management capacity.
