Responsibilities :

Applies knowledge of anatomy and physiology to demonstrate appropriate anatomical structures, while following ultrasound guidelines for positioning and techniques. Self-evaluates image for quality. Determines appropriate techniques to create optimum image quality. Sets up and assists the radiologist or physician during ultrasound procedures. Follows the guidelines for infection control. Reports all equipment malfunctions appropriately. Observes safe equipment operation and safety guidelines for patients, his/herself and fellow employees. Maintains appropriate amount of necessary supplies to do ones job. Completes all paperwork appropriately. Is able to schedule patients and prepare patient records appropriately. Is able to fill in during the imaging clerks absence. Shows flexibility in job duties. Is knowledgeable of function in all areas of the Imaging Department and willing to help where needed. Is willin to participate in departmental and facility PI projects. May be required to take call as needed in department.Conducts his/herself in a professional manner with patients, visitors, co-workers, health care practitioners and their staff.

Qualifications :

AS or AA or Certificated Program preferred. CRT or AART preferred. ARDMS or eligible required. Minimal typing skills required. Excellent customer service required.
