PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR NUCLEAR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN AT TYCO HEALTHCARE/MALLINCKRODT:
Compound, and dispense radiopharmaceuticals under direct Pharmacist supervision.
Prepare and maintain all associated Bureau of Radiological Health or Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and pharmacy documentation associated with the preparation and shipping of completed products.
Coordinate pharmacy office activities: perform month-end reporting and ad hoc requests for financial Controller, review monthly financial statements/reports and sales reports, review monthly expense spending via the coordinator tracking template, assist with the annual budget process, payment of facility expenses, new employee procedures, payroll administration, petty cash, purchase card and customer relations.
Assist in product deliveries when necessary; interact with customers via telephone and in maintenance of the pharmacys safety programs to ensure site regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.
Maintain state certification and CPHT per state requirement.
Must obtain Mallinckrodt Nuclear Pharmacy Technician (MNPT) Certification within 180 days of hire.
Must have working knowledge of pharmacy standard operating procedures, radiopharmaceutical products, compounding and handling procedures, radiation health physics, and pharmacy law.
Willingness and/or ability to work rotating shifts, including weekend, if appropriate.
Business background with clerical experience.
Proficiency with Personal Computers (PC), including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must hold and maintain a valid state drivers license with no traffic violations.
Requires professional, courteous phone manner, good mathematical skills (capable of adding/subtracting numbers with decimals) and ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures in an organized, detailed-conscience manner.
Must be able to lift/carry packages that weigh up to 25 pounds individually and 55 pounds with assistance.
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and a physical.
Must meet DOT requirements for a commercial drivers license.
Must be able to read and comprehend English.
Must submit to a motor vehicle record check and have a safe driving record, according to predetermined standards.
Must have proficient oral and written communication skills.
