Product Training Specialist - OBI/CT

In this position you will provide instruction on the Varian On-Board Imaging and Cone-Beam CT product lines to Varian internal and external customers.  Help design and implement technical programs for internal and external customers on current and new products.  Designs customized product familiarization and support documentation for presentations at training centers.  Prepares written tests for pre and post training and assists in verbal testing in a lab environment.  Performs routine maintenance and emergency repairs of training equipment and controls inventory of training equipment.  Evaluates effectiveness of training classes.  Up to 30% travel is required to manufacturing sites and customer sites.

 

Requires BSET or BSEE.  Must possess good troubleshooting skills and in-depth knowledge of digital and analog circuitry on both a component and systems level.  Knowledge of diagnostic X-ray systems, including in-depth knowledge of X-ray tubes and X-ray generators desired.  Seven years of technical training experience is strongly desired.  Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, 2000 desired.  Strong networking skills, including knowledge of TCP/IP and network troubleshooting is required.  Military electronics, microwave, communication and RF theory a strong plus.  Must be people oriented, and be able to effectively interface and communicate with a wide variety of personalities in a fast paced classroom environment.
