Radiology Technologist II performs quality radiographs and examinations. Collaborates with both internal and external healthcare team members to contribute to the plan of care of the patient. Practices radiation and patient safety by using the ALARA standards.

Communicates with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in-person and via telephone.
Validates physician order and then identifies appropriate means of acquiring exam ordered to ensure quality radiograph.
Transports patients to radiographic room; prepares and maintains room.
Receives delegation from the Radiology Physician Assistant and/ or the Radiologist.
Performs radiological exam support for main department and peri-operative areas
Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance program and safety.
Acts as preceptor for radiology students
Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as evaluation results, progress reports, and other such reports.
Proficient key boarding and computer skills.
Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; Ensures preventative maintenance is performed on a regularly scheduled basis; contacts outside service for major malfunctions according to established guidelines.
Requests and orders supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times
Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter- and intradepartmentally to facilitate that department's/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
Attends meetings as required.
Graduate of an approved American Registry of Radiologic Technology program (A.R.R.T.). required
Thorough knowledge of anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants and radiation safety. required
One year diagnostic radiology experience preferred.
