Account Specialist

ACCOUNT SPECIALIST - Full-time position in growing, mid-sized mental health advocacy agency.? The Account Specialist serves as the primary contact with mental health consumers, explaining the functions of the program.? Establishes and maintains a weekly schedule of visits to and/or telephone calls with, consumers that meets consumers' needs as well as the service standards established with each county.

Works closely with the consumer and/or their case manager to develop monthly budgets and spending plans and manage assets to prevent interruption of benefits.?

Ensure that all check requests are properly completed and distributes checks to the appropriate parties and on time.? As needed, will transport consumers to the bank and assist them in cashing checks and conducting other banking business.? Collect invoices and appropriate receipts from consumers and/or case managers.

The successful candidate will have a High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and three years of related experience.? Must have strong computer skills (Lotus and Excel) and word processing and be proficient with numbers and budgeting.

Experience with some accounting field, such as banking or bookkeeping, is preferred. Must have strong people skills including a basic understanding of crisis management and/or de-escalation.
