Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) is a private, non-profit human service agency focused exclusively on non-residential community-based programming. Based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, YAP currently operates more than 125 individual programs in Arizona, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington, D.C. Outside the United States, YAP, Inc., has partnered in Great Britain to establish advocate programs in London, the Midlands and has expanded into Ireland.

Youth Advocate Program, Inc. seeks an Assistant Program Director with a strong clinical and management background for it?s behavioral health program.  The office is located in the heart of Dallas with service responsibilities county-wide. The Assistant Director should have direct experience in the provision of home and community-based services and a background of working with youth and families with complex needs. The position requires a commitment to strength based, culturally competent, unconditional care, ability to supervise, motivate staff and assist the Program Director in managing and developing program, family assessments, creativity and pro-active planning. 

 

The Assistant Program Director is responsible for assisting the Program Director in the overall administration of the local program to include the following: supervision of all direct service professionals and administrative staff, conducting staff trainings, reviewing authorization requests, provision of client services, personnel management and budget management.

 

A Master's degree, LPC or LCSW is required.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.  Experience with grants and grant writing preferred. Experience with NorthSTAR and Medicaid preferred. A full criminal background check is required.
