Case Worker III job description:

 

Summary:

Performs complex social services work.  Work involves providing technical data on consumers in team conferences for the diagnosis and treatment of consumers.  May perform supervisory duties or serve in a lead capacity.  Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.  Must have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides technical consumer data as a team member in conferences for the diagnosis and treatment of consumers.

Interprets program methods and procedures to staff and other entities providing treatment to consumers.

Oversees or provides ongoing case coordination, individual or group counseling and serves as a liaison between families of consumers and treatment providers.

Works with children, adolescents, and adults.

Documents case records and prepares correspondence and reports.

Conducts presentations of various programs and services.

Develops and maintains communications with outside agencies to increase referral sources for consumer services.

May interview consumers or their authorized representatives to gather information for the development of consumer treatment plans.

May collect data from other sources as needed to assess treatment needs.

May develop and implement consumer treatment plans.

May supervise staff or serve in a lead capacity and participate in budget planning, unit administration, and program development.

May write grants and seek corporate funding for special projects.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

May carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include training employees: planning, assigning, and directing work.

 

Education and Experience:

Master's degree (M.A.) in counseling-related field, Must have a license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) and experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.

 

Certificates and Licenses:

Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts

Must have a current, valid, Driver's License, with a good driving record
