CLINICAL HEALTH SERVICES RESEARCH IN SCHIZOPHRENIA

We are recruiting for a multi-site grant that focuses on improving care for patients with schizophrenia.  We are looking for a project director to work with our health services group, which is based in Los Angeles and Long Beach, California and affiliated with UCLA and UC-Irvine.  This individual would manage one intervention and one control site of this project and be located at the offices in Long Beach.  The project is to run through December of 2008 and the position is a half-time position (20 hours per week). 

 

To be eligible, an individual must have both (1) clinical experience with severe mental illness (including schizophrenia), and (2) training and experience in research. They should be interested in collaborating with a research team with diverse members (nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, management), and have very good writing and interpersonal skills. They must be capable and interested in being trained to perform structured clinical assessments, including BPRS and SCID, as part of the research project.
