Recent growth in our Albany membership has highlighted our need for a positive, even-keeled healthcare professional to take on a new role in our Clinical Programs division. This fully telephonic position offers plenty of advancement potential and a standard M-F work schedule in a fun, fast-paced environment. Primary responsibilities include:



Providing telephonic care management services for mental health and substance abuse patients


Conducting utilization review, concurrent review and prior authorizations for acute care for members


Reviewing inpatient, outpatient, partial and residential care services


Ensuring care authorizations adhere to medical care guidelines and are consistent with patient needs


Managing discharge planning and giving patients referrals for community resources

Working with patients, their family members, employers, physicians and internal personnel on a broad range of care advocacy efforts



Only New York-licensed RNs, LCPCs, LCSWs and PsyDs in will be considered for this role, and solid experience in behavioral/mental healthcare is required. Managed cared experience is preferred. A background working in a telephonic role would be very helpful in this position.
