Child and Adolescent Mental Health Casemanager

We provide mental health case management services to Allegheny County?s highest risk population of children and adolescents between the ages of 3 and 21 years old. Our goal is to ensure that mental health services are delivered in the least restrictive environment, either by maintaining the consumer in the community or supporting the efforts to return the consumer back into the community. Our consumer specific services build on consumer, family, and community strengths. Case management services are provided with a creative and flexible approach to ensure quality services.

 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities  

v  Effectively and efficiently manages a caseload between 20 and 25 consumers

v  Coordinates and facilitates referrals to appropriate service providers and community resources that will contribute to individual client?s success

v  Coordinates and maintains all insurance authorizations per established time fames

v  Maintain individual client records including completion of service plan, service documentation, and any reports as necessary

v  Coordinates with families, mental health providers, ACCYF,Juvenile Probation, Educational Systems, and any other community resources as necessary to support client?s success

v  Provide educational advocacy by attending any school meetings

v  Attend and facilitate interagency team meetings

 

 

 

Qualifications/Essential Requirements

 

v  Bachelor?s Degree with major course work in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, or Education along with two years of experience working with children and adolescents

v  Act 33 and Act 34 clearances

v  Knowledge of and experience in CASSP system

v  Valid PA motor vehicle license and access to a reliable vehicle

v  Full-time position requiring 38.75 hours per week

v  Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed

v  Strong oral and written communication skills

v  Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
