Clinical Director

SummitQuest Academy, a division of ViaQuest Behavioral Health, is seeking a qualified Director of Nursing for our residential treatment facility for adolescent males. SummitQuest Academy is located in Lancaster County Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities include:
The Clinical Director is responsible for managing the daily operations of the treatment programs and for ensuring facility-wide program compliance and integrity. The Clinical Director oversees the structure and conduct of the respective treatment units, supporting compliance with facility policies and procedures, regulatory agency requirements and managed care standards. In conjunction with the Administrator, the Clinical Director plans, implements and supervises all revisions to existing programs and participates in the development of new programs. This position also maintains responsibility for facility-wide Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance initiatives, including the development, monitoring and reporting of quality indicators and the maintenance of up-to-date Policy & Procedure Manuals. The Clinical Director directly supervises the Program Directors, the Certified Recreation Therapist and Creative Arts Therapist.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master?s degree in a social services, behavioral science, education, or counseling related field, which includes the completion of advanced level courses in psychology or counseling theories and techniques; at least 3 years clinical experience treating children and adolescents with a variety of diagnoses, including sexual offender issues; and a minimum of 2 years prior supervisory/management experience in a child care setting. Must have excellent listening, communication and problem-solving skills. The Clinical Director must work independently and make work-related decisions in a timely manner; be able to respond calmly to crisis situations; demonstrate the ability to direct others in a confident, respectful manner; exercise good judgment in interactions with residents, families, staff, peers, referral sources and regulatory agency personnel; appropriately handle confidential information; enjoy working with children and adolescents with emotional issues. The Clinical Director must be certified in CPR/First Aid and Crisis Management practices.
