Director of Behavioral Services

Director of Behavioral Services - EXCITING OPPORTUNITY to join the leadership team of a new non-profit agency designing and implementing an innovative model of care for individuals with developmental disabilities.  Founded by a prominent group of East Bay providers, advocates and family members, Alegria Community Living is currently in the process of opening a group of specialized residences serving individuals with developmental disabilities who require support with behavioral challenges. 

 

We are seeking someone who is a leader in behavioral support strategies and techniques, who can help us build environments of wellness and well-being for the people we serve.  Alegria has strong funding commitments, an excellent board of directors and is building a special TEAM of talented and progressive staff.

 

Overview of Job Responsibilitiesdesigning individualized behavioral servicesdeveloping behavioral support plans, overseeing the implementation and evaluation of those plansstaff training and hands-on modeling of behavioral interventions as well as evaluation of staff's implementation of those plans

 

Minimum QualificationsMA in psychology or related field, BCBA cert/LCSW/LMFT preferred5 years behavioral experience5 years working with people with developmental disabilitiesexperience developing staff trainingCA driver's license, automobile, clean driving record DOJ/CCL fingerprint clearance required
