Foster Care Workers

SAFY, a private treatment foster care agency located in Las Vegas, has experienced growth, and has several positions available working with youth.

 

We are looking for a social worker to provide therapeutic intervention and case management services to treatment foster care placements.  Oversee placements and ensure contractual requirements of youth in care. Must have a LSW, MSW highly preferred.

 

In addition, we are looking for Rehab Skills professionals. Duties would include: Provide instruction, intervention and assistance as identified as needs to the family that fit the treatment intervention to preserve the family unit.  Assist in assessment process and goal setting for treatment planning of families.  Identify community resources for the type and level of service required by the family individually and or collectively.  Direct involvement with the family members include skills acquisition training in the following areas: behavior management, parent training, problem solving, conflict management/negotiating, communication skills, anger management, daily living skills, household management, self management, personal safety, recreation and leisure planning, relaxation training, interpersonal skills, etc.  Skills are taught using a variety of means including modeling, role plays, video tapes, audio tapes, hands on, written material, etc. depending on how family or youth learns best.  Assist the family in learning how to schedule and maintain appointments with service providers.  Establishes contact with appropriate referring agencies according to treatment team decision and works closely with contact person in accomplishing identified goals.  Participates in all team reviews and supervision meetings and provide input to the planning process based upon independent judgment and knowledge. Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent and three years work experience providing services to families and children or a bachelors degree and one year experience providing services to families and children.
