Grant Writer

JFSA is a private, non-profit human service organization, serving to strengthen families and individuals in Northeast Ohio.  We are seeking a Grant Writer to generate funding sources to help JFSA respond to unmet human service needs. The principal responsibilities for this position include: working with departmental directors and program coordinators to identify current sources of funding for renewal purposes and reporting; identifying grantors, public and private, that support programs, endowments and capital projects and compose the appropriate proposals; producing a high volume of grant proposals with an excellent rate of success; and maintaining a database of proposals that have been submitted and a tracking system to monitor their status.

 

Candidates applying for this position must have a Bachelor?s degree in a related field, knowledge of grant writing techniques including private and public sources, and a minimum of two to three years of grant writing experience in a development office in a human service or non-profit organization.  Experience in writing federal and state grants is a significant plus.  This position also requires the ability to work flexible hours.
