We are recruiting exceptional people for The Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) for our new expansion. 

 

The Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) provides individual and group counseling, assessments, and treatment planning as well as support services to members and their families.  This position provides clinical supervision for the Qualified Mental Health Professionals.  The Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts also assists in the coordination of all mental health support services provided by the Team.  This includes coordinating and collaborating with team members and outside agencies such as: the Parole and Probation Department, County Mental Health Services, Housing, and other Inpatient providers and Advocacy agencies.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

?  Assumes 90% member contact through primary therapy, community meetings, family therapy, groups and other support and rehab services.

?  Acts as a clinical supervisor for the Qualified Mental Health Professionals by providing clinical training/supervision of clinical work, per administrator.

?  Assists with Service Provider Plan, including:

1.  Making appropriate referrals for placement, case management and aftercare services, as assigned.

2.  Coordinating with the Business Office Manager to assure that member benefits and finance are in order, as assigned.

3.  Developing and maintaining an awareness of community resources.

?  Assures that members know and understand their legal status and rights.

?  Provide direct services to members, families, and community supports of member.

 

 Requirements:

 

? A current, valid LCSW, LMFT or LPC license is required

? 1 year of direct service experience working with individuals with mental illnesses is required. 

? Experience in an unlocked community or residential treatment setting is preferred. 

? Necessary skills include the ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, a thorough understanding of member rights, knowledge of persistent mental illness, and basic medical and psychiatric terminology. 

? Sensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issues is required.

? A valid Texas Driver?s license, an MVR clearance for insurability, a vehicle (approved for safety), and proof of insurance are also required. 

? A Department of Justice Clearance

? Must have completed first aid and CPR training or obtain certification within 4 weeks of hire.
