MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR

The Oneida Indian Nation is currently seeking a Mental Health Counselor for its Family Services Department. The Mental Health Counselor conducts assessments, provides ongoing therapy and develops treatment plans for individual and family clients in a rural, outpatient setting. The Mental Health Counselor will act as a liaison to treatment facilities, schools, health and social service agencies and community organizations, and will work with these agencies to provide joint treatment for clients.

Minimum qualifications include an LMSW (LCSW preferred) and experience working with the adult mental health population. Must have experience in providing treatment to individuals and families with a broad range of diagnosis. Substance abuse treatment experience is a plus. Candidates must possess a valid NYS driver?s license.
