MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR/SOCIAL WORKER

The Mental Health Counselor will provide individual therapy, family and group therapy to youth and families. Primary duties include prevention counseling, psycho-social assessments, suicide assessment, skill-building groups, developing treatment/intervention plans with multi-discipline team, monitoring medication and treatment interventions, consultation, case management, linkage and referral services. Provide clinical assessment, intervention, and case management of children and adolescents. Provide individual, family and group therapy, play therapy and DSM diagnosis, referrals and linkage services. Attend meetings as required including regular staff meetings and clinical case staffings. Provide services on-site and have the ability to provide services to clients within their residential placement or school setting. Complies with all MediCal, County and organizational requirements for documentation compliance and productivity.

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in an appropriate behavioral science
- Must be a licensed MFT, LCSW or Licensed Psychologist or license-eligible MFTI, ASW, Psych Associate
- Current California Drivers License
- Reliable transportation (including proof of auto registration and insurance)
- Must be able to work at computer desk 20-30 minutes at a time
- Variable hours - some evenings required
