Mental Health Clinical Technician

Mental Health Clinical Technician (Licensed) needed for in-prison program in Orange, CA. 

 

Responsibilities:

Assess inmates upon admission to in-custody program and performs on-going psychosocial assessments/evaluations.

Assist clinical staff in development of treatment plans. Review clinical progress notes and participate in clincal case review process.

Teaches and trains staff in theoretical and clinical aspects of in-custody substance abuse treatment.

Provides individual crisis intervention/counseling as needed.

 

Qualifications:

Familiarity with 12-step approach, TC, treatment planning, relapse prevention techniques.

Knowledge of criminal justice issues, prison culture.

 

Requirements:

Must be drug and alcohol free for aminimum of three years.

MFT or LCSW licensure in the state of CA; plus two years experience in the substance abuse treatment field/or certification in substance abuse counseling.

Must meet requirements for completion of OC security clearance.
