Mental Health Outreach Worker

Resources for Human Development, Inc (RHD) is a large non-profit values-based corporation that currently provides $136M in services across ten states and the District of Columbia.  We have over 3000 employees and more that 150 programs. Among other populations it provides residential services for the mentally ill, the developmentally disabled, the criminally adjudicated, those who are drug and/or alcohol addicted, and those who are homeless.

 

Our RHD New Foundations program is seeking an energetic team player to support individuals in their Wellsprings supported living program.They are looking for an individual with a minimum of two years experience in the mental health field, Bachelors degree preferred by not required, a valid drivers license, and have strong interpersonal skills to help individuals focus on daily living skills, achieve personal goals, and create hope that they will recover from their mental illness.

 

An ideal candidate for this position would have experience with psychotropic medications, a history in working with governmental agencies such as the Welfare and Social Security offices, ability to provide caring and understanding support balanced with the goal of assisting individuals to learn new skills to promote independence.  In this position there is a great need for someone to be adept at working alone with good time management skills, while also having the ability to work in a team to assist other staff with case management needs.  Creativity will be needed to develop new approaches to long established issues along with an understanding of the Recovery process and that the individual is the driving force to the support we provide.

 

The Wellsprings program is based in the Bryn Mawr area and provides support to individuals in their apartments in the surrounding area of Bryn Mawr Ardmore and Narbeth.  This is a full time position with benefits and is scheduled for 12pm to 8 pm Monday through Friday.  The salary range is $26,000 to $29,000.  Please fax your cover letter and resume to Kim Dukes at (610) 525 - 4626 or send email to kdukes1033@hotmail.com .
