Program Director - MR Day Hab

SUMMARY: Oversee all areas of Day Habilitation site and maintain according to DMR, DMA, CARF and Association standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Hire, train, and supervise all staff.
2.Maintain appropriate certifications (i.e. First Aid, CPR, OSHA, Fire Safety, Human Rights, etc.) and ensure that all staff maintain their certifications.
3.Provide leadership to staff by creating a cohesive team environment.
4.Oversee the administering and interpreting of assessments to determine each individual?s skill level on an annual basis.
5.Supervise and manage all data collection.
6.Assist Clinical Team and staff with referrals and development of services within the DayHab site.
7.Maintain budget for the DayHab program within allowed spending.
8.Maintain communication and collaborative relationships with other service providers and DMR.
9.Serve as liaison between Day Services, residential and family for individuals.
10.Maintain sites according to DMR, DMA, CARF and Association standards.
11.Other duties as assigned.



Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor?s degree in Human Services or related field and five years of professional health care experience. This must include clinical experience and at least one year in a supervisory role.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Knowledge of Department of Mental Retardation?s QUEST process, Department of Labor regulations, Day Habilitation regulations, and CARF standards. Knowledge of behavior management and Human Rights. Excellent organizational skills, problem solving and communications skills.
