Program Therapist

Founded in 1957, Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch is a nationally accredited and Montana State licensed private, not-for-profit organization. Located just west of Billings, MT, Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch campus is located on 480 scenic acres.

We provide to children and adolescents, sophisticated and clinical psychiatric residential treatment, group homes and community based services with a strong emphasis on pastoral care, academics and families.

 

We are currently looking for two Program Therapists to work in a School Based Setting. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

- Masters degree in a mental health discipline

- Licensure eligibility in Montana LCPC, LCSW or Clinical Psychologist OR License completion required within 24 months of hiring

- Experience in outpatient setting and training in family therapy preferred

 

PURPOSE: To provide intensive clinical intervention to children, youth and families referred to school-based programs. This includes individual, group and family therapy, parent skill training, case management, care coordination and limited crisis intervention. To provide clinical leadership and work closely with the school-based Youth and Family Support Worker or Behavior Specialist and academic team.

 

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides individual, group and family therapy to clients at designated CBS Day Treatment and/or CSCT program sites in school/community/home settings.

2. Intervene in crisis in a calm appropriate manner that maintains staff and youth safety.

3. Completes initial assessments, treatment plans, therapy notes, and other required clinical documentation for all services provided, as well as submitting weekly billing.

4. Provides clinical consultation to Behavior Specialist and school staff as needed, and through attendance and participation at treatment team and staff meetings. Involved in peer supervision, whether individually or in a group setting, as directed by supervisor.



5. Attends meetings and provides consultation to, and advocates for clients with schools, participates in CST/IEP meetings, coordinates services with community agencies, and cooperates with other providers to meet client and client system needs.





6. Maintains a flexible caseload and completes other duties as assigned by supervisor, including participating in on-call rotation.
