Texoma Medical Center's Behavioral Health Center has an immediate opening for a Psychiatric Social Worker II to help open our new additional Geriatric Unit with a major emphasis on Alzheimer's/Memory Care. This position will be PRN with the opportunity to go full-time as the unit census and volume stabilizes.

We are located 1 hour north of Dallas and 10 minutes from Lake Texoma. Texoma Medical Center is a regional healthcare system that provides services to a five county area in north Texas and southern Oklahoma.

Job Purpose:

Supports the patient's well-being by providing social work, case management, and counseling services to patients and families experiencing psychiatric illness and/or substance abuse issues. Orients families/patients to the treatment program while encouraging active participation. This position will work within an interdisciplinary team of professionals.

Skills/Qualifications:

Masters in Social Work and licensed by the State of Texas. Requires on year of experience in social work with a preference in medical social work and geriatrics. Must be able to take call on a rotating basis.
