Resident Program Counselors
Covenant Health, one of East Tennessee?s largest and most comprehensive health systems, is currently accepting applications for Resident Program Counselors (male & female) at Peninsula Village in Louisville, TN.
Peninsula Village offers a unique opportunity to work in an outdoor oriented program in a pristine wilderness setting along the lake. Provide guidance, teaching and basic nursing care to adolescents in our residential treatment program. Work at your own pace in this fun and challenging environment! Other benefits include casual dress, shift differential, and ample opportunity for continuing education. We have developed a holistic approach in meeting the medical/nursing needs of our patients. Peninsula Village is an 80-acre Residential treatment program located just minutes from Knoxville and surrounding counties.
The Resident Program Counselor works 3-1/2 day shifts on-site in the in the Boy's and Girl's Outdoor Program. Program Counselors provide positive role-modeling, guidance and supervision in a structured and therapeutic setting to a group of adolescents with issues ranging from emotional, behavioral and substance abuse. Candidates with Bachelors Degree's in a social services field are preferred but those actively pursuing a degree will be considered if they possess experience working with adolescents.

We also are pleased to offer ?job shadowing? that is, the ability to ?shadow? or accompany an experienced program counselor on our units to get an up close view of this exciting and rewarding position.
