Therapeutic Support Staff Position

 

Become a team member at our comprehensive quality program. Provide individual instruction for young children (ages 2-14) who have special needs such as Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, or other behavioral disorders. Support is offered to the children in their home, school, and/or community. Training is provided and all treatment is organized and supervised by a master?s level staff.  Our agency provides the following:

 

?  Training in a center based partial hospital program prior to working alone with the children.

?  Weekly supervision with Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

?  Opportunities to work as part of a team, following an individualized treatment plan for each child.

?  Full time and part time positions available.

?  Daytime positions available.

?  Full time benefits begin following a 3 month probation period, including health insurance, sick time, and vacation.

?  Opportunities for advancement within PLEA.

?  Starting salary $11.00 per hour.

 

Position Requirements:

1. One of the following: 1.) a Bachelor?s Degree in a Human Services field with no previous work experience; 2.) a Bachelor?s Degree in another field with one year of full-time paid work experience in a job involving direct contact with children, or 3.) an Associate?s Degree with the equivalent of at least three years of full-time paid work experience in a job involving direct contact with children.Strong work ethic. Desire to help children make progress through positive interventions. Child Abuse and Criminal History clearances. Full time position requires reliable auto.
