ALCOHOL AND DRUG COUNSELOR II  (2 positions)

 

IMMEDIATE POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE: 

 

The first position requires working in the Baltimore County District and Circuit court locations, and also the Baltimore County Detention Center, providing consultation, education, assessment, in-depth evaluation, treatment, and referral services for clients involved in the criminal justice system. The position requires working one night per week. All potential candidates must pass a criminal background check.

 

The second position is in one of our Adult Outpatient Treatment Programs, where the person will provide in-depth substance abuse evaluations, facilitate group and individual counseling sessions and teaching substance abuse education classes.  The position requires working 2 evenings a week, must have extensive knowledge of addiction and experience working with Dually Diagnosed populations, good communication skills (written and verbal), ability to multi-task, and provide services in a fast pace environment.  All candidates must pass a criminal background check.

 

At a minimum, candidates must be certified by the Maryland State Board of Counselors and Therapists as a Certified Associate Counselor-Alcohol and Drug.
