Under general supervision, this position is responsible for assisting with researching, analyzing and preparing reports relative to patient accounts, reimbursement, billing performance and maintaining close relationships with PT-NEMC departments, promoting satisfaction with billing services, providing a communication link between the department and the billing office and assisting the department to maximize reimbursement. Knowledge of research techniques sufficient to collect and interpret data. Knowledge of all systems and operational processes required to analyze data. Knowledge of computer medical billing systems ;IDX, DBMS, various spreadsheets and applications. Skills in interpreting and analyzing data. Skills in examining documents for correctness and interpreting their accuracy. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to organize, coordinate and monitor project work. Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and make effective presentations. Ability to produce high volume of quality work in a fast paced environment. Ability to interact with various constituencies and facilitate solutions to operational problems, and skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Bachelor's degree or 2 years experience in a healthcare billing office setting. Three years experience performing project research and analysis including two years in a healthcare organization.
