Communications Supervisor

Requirements:

Must have 5-7 years supervising in a emergency communications center

Must be detail oriented, and posses the ability to multi-task.

Must posses superior customer service, phone, computer, and leadership skills.

Must have superior problem solving skills.

Must have at least 5-7 years experience supervising (10) ten or more employees.

Must have excellent geographic knowledge of Los Angeles County.

Must have experience as an emergency medical dispatcher in an EMS communications center.

Experience with CAD and GPS system a plus

Must be Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD), or Paramedic certified.

Military background a plus.



Job Duties:

Responsible for general supervision of Schaefer Ambulance Service's Los Angeles division communications center. Oversee and responsible for day-to-day operations of the communications center. Act as first line supervisor to field personnel. Maintains an open line of communication with upper management. Responsible for hiring, and training new communications employees as well as any discipline issues. Responsible for other duties as assigned by management.
