Job Description

 

The Pulmonology Division at the Nemours Children's Clinic of Orlando is seeking a part-time Clinical Dietician to serve as a nutrition consultant in an outpatient setting for a multi-specialty pediatric clinic. The Clinical Dietician will: complete nutrition referrals from Nemours specialty physicians as well as community physicians; complete nutritional assessments utilizing knowledge of expected growth and development appropriate to patient demographics; develop and implement nutritional care plans based on nutritional assessments; calculate specialized formula recipes and meal plans; perform nutrition counseling for patients and caretakers regarding disease specific diets and/or formulas; communicate nutritional assessments, counseling reports and care plans to referring physicians and other healthcare providers including nurses, social workers and school personnel; select, develop and continually update nutrition education and teaching materials; and, serve as a reference for community nutrition questions. 

 

Hours for this position are Wednesday and Thursday. 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a BS Degree with a major in Food and Nutrition, Food Science and Human Nutrition This position requires a Registered Dietician with at least two years pediatric experience, a State of Florida Dietician License, current BLS certificate and the ability to meet CE requirements to maintain registration through the American Dietetic Association (RD) and state licensure.
