Executive Assistant

The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) is searching for
Executive Assistants to work in the Department of OB/GYN.

The incumbent will compose and prepare routine correspondence for the department; answer the telephone and give
information to callers or route call to appropriate persons and places outgoing calls;schedule appointments and arrange travel schedules and reservations; process faculty,physicians and staff paperwork and set-up files; help maintain copies of current licensure; assist the department in the annual capital and annual budget processes; monitor and participate in answering of inquiries from students, University staff, sponsors or general
public; function as administrative contact in absence of Office Manager; provide
administrative support for financial services as needed; schedule new & returning
patients; provide information on the practice and mail packets; assist in training of new secretarial/support staff; provide clinical support for faculty & nursing staff; obtain insurance benefits and authorizations from carriers for network physicians as needed.

Required Skills:
One to two years of college or an equivalent combination of training and experience; three years of secretarial experience in a healthcare environment, including at least six months of business administration experience; and computer literacy are required.
