Government Programs Assistant

Job Description

Provide accurate and timely administrative support to the Government Programs department.  Duties include supporting daily operations and special projects with the following:  general clerical and project based work; preparation of forms; preparation of reports; file maintenance; and general administrative duties. Responsibilities and Functions

? Assist Government Programs Specialist with daily processes as needed

? Assist Corporate Auditor with audit process as needed

? Assist Government Programs Dept. with special projects as needed

? Maintain marketing materials files, logs, and binders

? Update and monitor CMS reporting requirements schedule

? Schedule and coordinate meetings with various departments

? Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements:

? Minimum two years experience in a Managed Care Organizations; working knowledge of Medicare is preferred

?  Follow written and verbal instructions

? Work independently with minimal supervision

? Excellent organization and time management skills

?  Familiarity with Medical terminology

?  Working knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

?  Ability to read and interpret documents

?  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

? Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees

 

Education:

High school graduate; some college preferred.
