Marketing Analyst (129067-563)

Description The Marketing Analyst provides support to the sales team (Client Executive and Regional Vice President) within a defined region. Key responsibilities include conducting data analysis on Premier proprietary data sources, along with publically available data sources, to identify sales opportunities. The majority of the data analyses will be turned over to the sales team for follow-up. The Marketing Analyst will also have responsibility for conducting some first tier follow-up on customers/prospects that have attended a Premier event (Advisor Live call, etc.) to further qualify level of interest prior to the lead being handed off to the appropriate client executive. The Marketing Analyst will also have responsibility for coordinating, along with the delivery team within their defined region, all aspects of the Regional Performance Improvement Forums. In addition, the Marketing Analyst will assist with responding to RFP?s, creation of proposals and implementation of any regional specific marketing campaigns. The Marketing Analyst plays an important role monitoring real-time business issues, interpreting data and recommending immediate action plans to address issues or to take advantage of opportunities. The Marketing Analyst will interface with other team members, to ensure that business issues are communicated and acted upon in a timely manner.
A high level of creativity and intellectual capability will be required to meet the analytical needs of the Marketing Analyst role. Candidates must be able to problem solve and learn technical application skills quickly.
This individual will use professional knowledge and expertise to support planning, decision-making and development of the Premier solutions and marketing plans as well as provide the support needed for the sales teams.



Major Accountabilities



Conduct data analysis for Sales team to identify sales opportunities

Use existing Premier proprietary data and/or public data sources (MEDPAR, JCAHO, CMS, Hoovers, etc) to identify sales opportunities to be handed off to the account executive within the region to follow-up.

Collect data for completion of opportunity analysis and put in a format for client executive to utilize with customer/prospect.

Work with other sales, delivery and operations resources to stay abreast of all data issues

Work with sales team within the region to create a target prospect list based on the data analysis



Conduct follow-up Calls to Qualify Leads

Conduct calls to leads which have come in through various Premier marketing functions (Advisor Live calls, trade shows, conferences, etc.) to further qualify them as a prospect for a sales opportunity.

Advise Client Executive as to the level of interest/ability of the lead

Implementation in any regional/national marketing activities where customer follow-up is required



Assistance in sales process

Assistance with responding to RFP?s

Assistance with coordination/creation of proposals



Coordination of Regional Performance Improvement Forums
Work with sales, delivery, marketing and operations teams in order to:

Determine the appropriate content

Coordination of speakers

Notification and solicitation to customers/prospects for attendance

Completion of any data analysis being presented at these forums

Committed to achieve or exceed sales and revenue objectives



Sales Administration Functions

Appropriate maintenance of SalesForce.com



Develop internal strategic relationships

Build strong relationships with all internal departments and business units

Respect all internal resources by utilizing appropriately




 Required Skills


A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) required in business, marketing, healthcare or related discipline with courses in business and statistics.

Masters Business Administration preferred

3-5 years experience with analyzing complex data and interpreting results

Proven ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals

Practical hospital or healthcare related experience preferred

Experience working in a sales team environment is preferred

Previous experience working with Informatics products preferred

Have completed or will complete Miller Heiman sales training courses within 3 months of hire.

This position requires advanced knowledge of computer-based concepts including various software programs dealing with databases and spreadsheets, as well as presentation software such as powerpoint and adobe.



Knowledge and Skills

Ability to conduct discussions with clients of their needs and translate into Healthcare Informatics solutions

Ability to create documents/presentations which highlight the opportunity for the account executive to use in the sales process.

Strong knowledge of the issues surrounding the market of hospitals in which they serve.

Self-motivated problem solver; approach problems and issues in a logical/systemic manner; research issues to the lowest level to secure answers and resolve issues decisively

Excellent listening skills

Demonstrates organization and time management skills while balancing multiple tasks with changing priorities; attention to detail and follow through

Outstanding customer service skills

Relative knowledge of the industry and competitors.

The ability to effectively point out the strategic differentiators of Premier.

Ability to prospect and qualify potential leads
