Massage Therapist

Position Summary

 

Provide massage therapy for members and guests that result in the sales, services, and products that exceed the member's expectations. Upholds the fulfillment of Life Time Fitness' Mission Statement.


Examples of Work Performed

1. Performs massages for club members and guests
2. Provides personal attention and interaction that enhances the members experience
3. Promotes the Life Spa's services and products to members and guests
4. Establishes and maintains client base through communication within the club
5. Assists front desk with scheduling and confirming appointments and answering phones
6. Assists with inventory, ordering and receiving of products
7. Maintains Spa appearance and cleanliness
8. Washes, dries and folds towels and sheets
9. Stays current on certifications and new trends in the industry



Minimum Qualifications

 

Education:
High School diploma or GED
College degree preferred

 

Experience:
Two-years massage experience in professional environment
Knowledge of body treatments preferred

 

Licenses / Certifications / Registration:
State Massage Therapist License

1. Ability to multi-task and learn quickly

3. Ability to build relationship with members and guests
4. Ability to operate a personal computer
5. Knowledge of standard office procedures and computer software; Salon Biz software preferred
6. Maintains a friendly and pleasant demeanor and professional appearance
7. Ability to promote services and products to members


Physical / Mental Requirements and Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in a Spa setting. This position is required to regularly:

6. Reach with hands and arms
7. Able to lift up to 25 pounds
