Medical Collector Representative - Boca Raton, FL

Currently, Tenet is seeking a Hospital Collector for the Florida Regional Business Office in Boca Raton, FL. Performs primary collections, such as follow-up on unpaid accounts receivable through telephone contact or by means of online tools. May develop queries; generates and distributes reports. Maintains appropriate records, files and documentation. Works in a cooperative team environment to provide value to customer (both internally and externally).

QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma required. Some college coursework in business administration or accounting preferred. Understanding of business service functions including billing, collections, insurance, and appeals. Previous experience in hospital business office or similar experience required. Medical billing experience preferred, strong medical claims experience and understanding of healthcare reimbursement preferred. Knowledge of entire revenue cycle process, from patient access (authorization, admissions) through PFS (billing, collections) procedures and policies helpful.
