Medical Front Office Supervisor

Job Description: Performs patient service representative duties and serves as supervisor for the team by performing the following duties.
Supervises front desk operations and procedures such as the approval of time sheets, ensuring accuracy of patient information in the Electronic Medical Records, overseeing the scanning system and other clerical services.
Talks with patients by phone or in person and schedules appointments.
Completes registration forms and enters demographics into database. Helps patients understand and complete consent forms, collects charges for services rendered. Updates patient demographics each visit.
Addresses complaints concerning billing or services rendered, referring complaints to designated departments for investigation.
Compiles daily reports to ensure accuracy.
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department. Also directly supervises three non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. You can view all of our jobs online at
