Medical Office Receptionist / Technician OPHTHALMOLOGY

New York City Ophthalmology office seeks bright, enthusiastic, reliable person for front office / assistant position.

 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

? Office Reception - Creating an inviting, welcoming atmosphere in the front office ? both on the phone and in person.
? Schedule patient appointments, handle busy phones, coordinate the doctor?s schedule, exam room maintenance

? Verify insurance eligibility, enter billing information / demographics using ADS software (can train to use this software), knowledge of referrals and provide back up support to the billing office.

 

The type of candidate we seek:

? Has at least 2 years experience working in an ophthalmology or medical office.
? Must have some computer experience and strong verbal and written skills.
? Familiarity with contact lenses, visual field testing, tonometry, tomography and refractor a plus

? Must demonstrate initiative, be able to work well with others and have a positive and professional attitude.

I have two positions availible one part time aprox 25 hours a week without benefits and the other is full time with benefits.
